Family Promise of Augusta is a 90-day shelter program for homeless families with minor children in their custody. We serve single mothers, single fathers, two-parent households, single pregnant women and grandparents who have custody of their grandchildren. With the help of local churches, we help families become stable within 90-days. We provide services that include: transportation, case management, shelter, food, cost-free daycare, financial literacy, and parenting classes.
Why: At Family Promise of Augusta, we offer hope as lives are rebuilt. We are committed to helping families of the surrounding area to achieve lasting independence.
What: With the support of a local community, we promise the possibility of a new life. We do this by providing safe shelter, meals, cost-free day care and support services for these families. We also partner with programs designed to redress the underlying causes of homelessness.
How: Self-sufficiency is achieved through education and empowerment.
